The Man Behind the Laughter
From the vibrant streets of New Orleans, Jackie Jenkins Jr. has taken his unique humor to comedy stages across the country and around the globe. With two decades of dedicated crowd-work and storytelling under his belt, Jackie has had the honor of working with comedy royalty, including legends like Paul Mooney, John Witherspoon, Patrice O’Neal, Neil Hamburger, and Robin Williams. Jackie isn’t just a performer; he’s a comedy architect. In 2008 he cemented himself as the driving force in cultivating the New Orleans comedy scene by running 4-5 shows a week to help reboot the scene after Hurricane Katrina. In 2016, he founded Laughin Jack’s Productions, LLC. Under his own banner, he wrote, directed, and produced the acclaimed experimental comedy film "I Have a Dream, Too!" (2018), which was an official selection for the Amazon All Voices Film Festival and streamed on Amazon Prime.
Experience the Greatness! Jackie is best known for crafting high-energy "Comedy Experiences" that break the mold of traditional stand-up. His style seamlessly blends sharp, observational wit with spontaneous, audience-driven interaction. No two shows are ever the same because Jackie treats the crowd as his co-stars. Whether he’s in an intimate club or a grand theater, Jackie’s signature formats invite the audience into the creative process in real-time—most notably in his groundbreaking, completely interactive touring show, "Laughin Jack's Presents: The Posted Show!"
When he isn't on the road, Jackie keeps the content flowing and the culture moving: Live Shows: Host and producer of the weekly comedy staple. Humpday HiJenks, featured on Laugh After Dark.
